So Powerful, You’ll Feel Unstoppable

Elevated in Every Way that Matters.

I had the pleasure of spending a majority of my career developing the next generation of the Chevrolet Truck. I began my automotive career in 2013 working on the Model Year 2019 Silverado. After the reveal, I was able to take our learnings from that program and build upon it to create our best Silverado yet. The all new 2023 Silverado has been enhanced to feature a brand new interior with upgraded materials, even more High Country color options, as well as, the introduction to the first ever Silverado ZR2.

Please enjoy the video below to hear me speak more about the design process for the ZR2 and High Country.

The ZR2 is the most capable truck in the Silverado lineup.

The ZR2 is available for the first time on the 2023 Silverado. This is the most capable off road Silverado ever offered. When designing the colors and materials for this trim level, it had to feel aggressive, capable and tactical. Graystone and Jet Black with Strike Yellow accent stitching is used to convey those feelings. We added technical details on the leather, vinyl and decor to emphasis sport inspired features.

Our bright chrome on the interior is replaced with Black Ice Chrome to match the bold front end which also highlights the same chrome, paired with a high gloss black paint.

The 2023 High Country is Silverado's most luxurious trim level inspired by the outdoors.

In order to push our brand further and stay ahead of competition, we knew that the 2023 High Country had to have even more premium material upgrades. For the first time, it features real wood decor on the console, doors and instrument panel. It offers even more cut and sew materials on the entire door bolster, along with a Stainless Steel Speaker Grille. The seats include the decorative stripe from 2019, but enhanced it to now carry through the entire seat insert. It offers a custom perforation with colored crust, a double needle deck seam and fabric pipe.

The interior color palette includes our well loved interior colors from 2019: Jet Black, and Jet Black & Umber. This color palette is meant to mimic a cabin in the woods, and how the sun shines through the trees at sunrise and dusk. The wood enhances the feeling of a walk in the forest and the bronze accents on both the interior and exterior emphasize the warmth felt in the sun. The 2023 version now offers a third interior with the addition of Jet Black & Nightshift Blue. This new interior color carries the core principles of High Country while continuing to keep the brand modern and fresh.
